Welcome to Kasafé Curepipe

Sir Virgile Naz St, Curepipe, Mauritius

General Info

Walking into Kasafé Curepipe on Sir Virgile Naz St in Curepipe feels easy and familiar, the kind of place you settle into without trying too hard. This Thai restaurant has built a reputation around comfort, flavour, and a relaxed atmosphere that works just as well for solo dining as it does for groups catching up over shared plates. Everything about the space encourages you to slow down, scan the menu properly, and enjoy the experience instead of rushing through a meal.

The menu leans confidently into Thai classics, and the flavours stay true without feeling heavy. One of the standout choices is the Chicken Dumplings, which arrive hot, soft, and packed with savoury filling. They’re perfect as small plates or a quick bite, especially if you’re not overly hungry but still want something satisfying. Not far behind in popularity are the Pad Thai Noodles, balanced nicely between sweet, salty, and tangy, with a texture that feels fresh rather than oily.

For those who enjoy bold, aromatic dishes, the Tom Yum Soup delivers exactly that. It’s comforting and punchy at the same time, making it a solid choice whether you’re dining alone or sharing dishes around the table. The Satat Chicken adds a smoky, grilled element to the menu, pairing well with lighter options and offering a nice contrast to the saucier dishes. Meanwhile, the Green Curry stands out for its depth, creamy without being overpowering, and full of layered spice that builds gently with every bite.

Service-wise, Kasafé Curepipe keeps things simple and practical. The restaurant is well-suited for quick visits as well as longer meals, and the setup works smoothly for groups. Clean toilet facilities add to the overall comfort, which matters more than people often admit. Reviews often highlight how easy it is to feel at home here, whether you’re dropping in during a busy day or planning a casual dinner.

Located right in Curepipe, the restaurant benefits from being accessible while still feeling like a small escape. Between the welcoming vibe, dependable service, and a menu that stays consistent, Kasafé Curepipe manages to feel both relaxed and reliable, making each visit feel natural rather than staged.

What customers say?

“ Been to Kasafe for the second time. Loved our food and the atmosphere as well. The waiter was very welcoming and very friendly. We were very pleased with the service. He even offered a tiny portion for us to taste before ordering an item on the menu! I absolutely recommend this restaurant, for it’s flavorful plates and great service ⭐ Even though it was near closing time, they didn’t fail to welcome us and let us take our time to have our dinner with no rush ”

“ Kasafe is a Thai restaurant located in Curepipe. We had the chance to try their laksa soup and chicken with cashew nuts served with rice, along with some new drinks. The place has a lush, green atmosphere and feels very welcoming. There's no need to make a reservation since the space is large and offers free parking. The staff is very helpful, service is fast, and the prices are quite affordable. I highly recommend it. The food was flavorful, and the portions were generous. Kasafe, Curepipe ”

“ The last time we were at Kasafé was when it had just started opp Manhattan Curepipe. The new place (been a few years now) is upgraded with more seats and a much nicer vibe. The food was a tiny less tasty than originally, the chicken dumplings had a gamey taste and our favourite, the Pad Thai could do an upgrade. However, we LOVED the spring rolls... they are to die for, much like their Tom Yum soup. The owner has QUALITY service for all. Thank you for the welcome 4.5/5 ”

“ I had lunch there in July 2025. Service is quick, and the food was served rather quickly, despite the fact that the restaurant was around 80% full. They propose Thai food, which somewhat rare in Mauritius. I recommend ”

“ One incredible thing you should know: the seafood laksa is phenomenal and truly transformative! Look at the presentation and the various sorts of seafood ... where else in Mauritius are you going to find a seafood laksa of this high quality? Go read the other 350+ reviews telling you about Kasafé's great menu, service and atmosphere but let me tell you that you really want to try this superb seafood laksa!!! ”
